The Greater Philadelphia Choral Society is new on the scene. We start rehearsals in the fall of 2021, and our inaugural concert will feature Vivaldi's "Gloria," followed by Christmas Pops and Carol Sing Along. The concert will take place at 7:30PM on December 3rd at St. Rose of Lima Church in Haddon Heights, New Jersey (click on 2021-22 Season/Tickets link to purchase tickets). Under the direction of Dr. William Gorton, GPCS will present two concerts per year, focusing on major choral works, but also including smaller, quality works; a summer opera festival is also being considered.

We are intentionally philanthropic in our philosophy - our goals include serving those less fortunate in our community. As such, we will be collecting non-perishable food items at our concerts that will supply local food banks. We are also looking to provide carol singing for inmates at Camden County Correctional Facility during the holiday season, as well as informal concerts for local nursing homes or retirement communities. We welcome any ideas for other beneficiaries of our time and talents, to make our world a little brighter.
